For make up, I would like to comment on my groupmates' overall blog.

Ashley blog is really like a personal blog, her posts are interesting and with thoughts.
After reading them each time, I will learn something.

Myo's blog give me a new vision. As myo is from Burma, His experience of blogging is quite different from mine.
Also, he is quite serious on the topic (maybe I am too causal ?) and that makes the topic having more angles.

I like Tiffany's blog. It is like reading a friends' blog.
Usually, you will find pictures on her blog. That makes me feel comfortable as I hate reading lots of word :p.

And to sum up my blogging experience, I must say that typing blogs in English is really new to me.
I think blog in Chinese and for leisure is easier as you are driven by your interest.
But when it turn to English and for school work, it's always hard to start and more things needed to be consider.
However, I enjoy this experience very much. I think it is interesting to have a blog in English.
And the topics are actually really inspiring. I learned much and think more.
The topics are something related to my everyday life, but I learn much in these few weeks.
 For the reason why I chose the sample post, it is because that I think the post is more related to the topic.
The two other posts are also interesting but I am afraid that they maybe a little bit off topic.
Moreover, I think the organization of the post is the best in the three posts.
Also, I found for the blog sample for more times. And most importantly, I like the post most.

online communication in pigg world

Today I want to introduce my favorite online communication platform to you.
The platform is called PIGG.
PIGG is a japanese company Ameba's social network which is as a kind of virtual world like second life.
But something is different between pigg and second life.
Firstly, pigg is a web-based game which not requires you to install anything.
You can just open the web in the browser and you can start playing it.
Secondly, the style of visual is different.
Pigg is more cute and not really based on reality.(That may represent the Japanese culture of cute.)

Few reasons can explain why I am addicted to the game.
Firstly, I love the mini games in Pigg.
Pigg has many scene, for example Shibuya, New York and even space, my favorite scene is the casino. In the scene, you can really gamble(of course not using real money). I love to play black jack and slot machine there.
Not only gaining virtual money, pigg always offer events which will give presents (of course are for the avatar) to you when you win certain amount of money. The lovely and interesting present really attracts me a lot.

Secondly, I love to chat with people in there.
Pigg has a funtion called "community". As the name said, it offers you a chance to join the community in the pigg world. You can really build friendship with Japanese with the function. I joined a community called 放送部 which are formed by people who enjoy watching live in a Japanese video website - niconico. It one hand can enhance my Japanese. On the other hand, it could let me have some new friends from Japan.

Attention?

In Hong Kong, attention is important to an artists, to a politicians and a company. As it can generate wealth and gold in the fast changing world. They must keep on having news or movement in order to make people remember them.

But now we ordinary people also tried to get attention as well.

With the pop-up of facebook and twitter or other social network, we tried to have more attention.

Let me use a friend as an example. He is a year 3 boy and I know him in last summer holiday. He is an optimistic  person and seems that he would not be sad even his gpa is lower than 2. I added his facebook for a while and one day he typed a really touching poem which is just saying "I am really lonely". But many friends liked his post. I asked him why to post something that didn't match you. He said" I need to "chok" like!" (chok means to have a little cheat in this time...) I don't understand what it means for but I did see he got more attention from his "goddess".

Of course, we will have actual sharing in facebook or twitter. But we can hardly distinguish what others want. Teenagers like to have attention from friends. It is usual for them to have a mind that wanting to become the center of their social network. Facebook gave them a chance and I think that can explain why my friends would like to "chok" for like.

ya---! I got 17 likes! Attention draw?

Another attention drawing example will be mini blogs like twitter and plurk. But this time, the more follower you got, the more attention you have. You might think fans or followers mean nothing. But you can deny that more fans you got, more posts you will post.
see? maybe more fans you got,more you post!

But maybe you will become Narcissistic. To prevent it, let's do a test!

Reflection on lession 3

In the reality, people cares about one's appearance. And sometimes we will judge someone according to his or her appearance. As our first impression built in the first 7 second(see more if you want).

In the virtual world, we simply doesn't know one's appearance (Unless he or she posted a big picture on his or her blog...). I think, we have the first impression from the website visual.

You may think that's impossible! How can I judge someone with a web layout. It simply is words and pictures! But I need to tell you that we can really judge someone from his or her web(now I will use blog as an example).


This is a blog of a Japanese model. I think the impression of her blog is sweet and cute. Not talking about her picture, but the whole design (the dots pattern, the color matching) are quite girlish. We simply will not think that is a boy's blog, right?
















Another example is a Taiwan drawer's blog. You will not know what gender he or she is. But you can simply find out that the person is really creative and with good sense of drawing. Also, the blogger play effort on the blog!










Visual elements are important to a web. It just like the first impression we made in reality.

My digital Life

Hello everybody. My name is Annie and I am a Media & Communication student.

Everyday I need to use my laptop to surf social website like facebook or weibo. Why I use need is because I think that I am addicted to the net. If I do not surf the net, I will feel uncomfortable.

However, I don't like to use my phone to surf the net. Although it is always with me, I can't use it properly. My phone always work improperly. I planned to buy iphone 5 to replace this worst phone.
